New Salinas Center
is Open
Sherwood
Gardens Goodwill store and donation center has moved to our new
Salinas location at 1325 N. Main St. (next to Ikebana) and that
store
opened on April 27th 2012. This is a brand new building,
housing the Goodwill store, donation drop off and processing
center and a workforce development center. Goodwill purchased
the property
with the goal to serve more job seekers in the Monterey County/Salinas
area, as well as make the store and donation center more centrally
located and accessible.
This site is modeled after the combined
site in Capitola, which includes a newly remodeled Goodwill
store, doantion/processing center and the Shoreline School of
cosmetology-a Goodwill training program.
This new model combines the Goodwill store, donation site and
Career/training centers all under one roof. A ribbon cutting
will be scheduled sometime in June. Goodwill thanks the comminity
for it's support for making this expansion possible. At that time the career center will be open
and serving job seekers.
